at the end of the week, craig took a little bit of time at the end of friday's episode to recognize someone who is leaving the show: 'we mess around on the show, but i want to take a minute now to bid farewell to our director brian mcaloon who has been directing this show since tom snyder was doing it, he did it when craig kilborn was doing it, and he's been doing it for the 8 years i've been doing it. i'm really sorry, man! he's been working at the worldwide pants company that makes this show for 32 years and finally he's got something better.'
the next monday, craig has on the new director, tim mancinelli, and welcomes him to the show. granted, tim has been an assistant director in the show for 17 years, so he might already have a pretty good idea of how things should go! there are already some slight changes, including the shot over geoff's shoulder pictured above. should be fun to keep an eye out for any other subtle differences as time goes on!

bridger: car breaker.
'please state your name for the folks at home.' craig asks as he circles bridger, who works on the late late show.
'bridger winegar'.
'now, tell the folks where you work, bridger.' craig asks.
'the late late show'.
'now, bridger, you are dressed up in a costume this evening which i suspect is making you a little uncomfortable. is that true?'
'um, yes.' bridger admits meekly.
'any idea why you are dressed in that costume, bridger?'
'ah, no.'
'bridger, what is your position here at this show?' craig asks.
'um, i'm a production assistant'.
'bridger, did you go and fetch anyone's car recently from anyone's house?'
'yes...' bridger responds, finally putting together where craig is taking this conversation.
'bridger, when you were fetching that car for someone, did you crash that fucking car?'
'yes'.
'well, guess what, bridger. i today got the estimate for the repair bill on that car. so you better get used to this costume buddy. i'm only kidding pal, its all right, dont worry about it. its fine. i didnt really like that car anyway.'
'its a nice car'.
'it was, it was a nice car. now? its a piece of crap. the main thing is that we have moved passed it.'
'i hope so...'

geoff peterson's new voice(s)
does geoff sound a bit different to you? well, there's a reason for that! craig recently spoke about the temporary change in geoff's voice: 'i'm a little worried. i dont know if you are aware of this, but geoff is undergoing some repairs at the moment, so we are trying out various different personality chips for the next two weeks. so geoff will not necessarily be his normal self tonight.' later craig ferguson explains 'a lot of people have been asking me recently 'whats going on with geoff? something's going on with geoff? we want old geoff back!' look, old geoff will be coming back, but the thing is that essential maintenance is being conducted on geoff's innards, and so every night for the next two weeks he will have a different personality.' it seems that geoff's usual voice is gone for a while and there will be a rotating collection of people stepping in to voice our favorite robot skeleton!those who have stepped in to do geoff's voice:
who does the voice of geoff peterson?
have you ever wondered who does the voice for geoff peterson? well, the actor behind the voice is none other than josh robert thompson. thompson has been a regular and appeared on the show before in front of the camera as an arnold schwarzenegger impersonator. he has also done some different voices for the show, most notably morgan freeman for some of craig's silly segments. when asked about how he came up with the voice for geoff peterson, thompson has said 'its one part snagglepuss, one part vincent price, and two parts george takei'.and now you know!
bradley laise
bradley laise, a regular on 'the late late show with craig ferguson', stoped by the show tonight as a member of the audience. he regularly appears on some of the show's skits with craig. he is the little person who often accompanies craig in skits ranging from secretariat to 'access extratainment tonight with barney slash and john tesh'. craig calls him down and interviews him during the two minute segment at the start of the show.'please state your name', craig grills him.
'bradley lace' he replies.
'if you are who you say you are', craig states, 'you appear on many of the sketches on this show, dont you bradley?'
'i do' bradley responds.
'when i came out to talk to the audience this evening, bradley lace, if thats who you say you are. which, it is who you say you are, but if is it who you are who you are. how come you are in the audience when you work here, bradley?' craig asks.
'because i got my arm twisted to come here' bradley responds.
'by whom, bradley?' craig asks.
'there's a cute blond in the front row there' bradley admits.
'you mean the one sitting next to your wife?' craig jokes, 'is this your passive aggressive way of saying we havent done many sketches recently?'
'well, it has been a while, buddy' bradley admits.
'i know what we can do. lets ask ourselves a question bradley', craig states, 'lets ask ourselves: who's that at the door?!?' then the two of them dance as secretariat comes out!
criag's assistant bridger
criag ferguson introduces the newest assistant on his show, bridger wineger! craig starts off the show by interrogating him: 'its bridger, everybody! ever worked on any other late night shows before?' he replies 'yeah, i worked for the letterman show'. 'oh, david letterman? at 11:30 on cbs? so lets see, you are a red haired gentleman. that would be fare to say, wouldnt it? you used to be on at 11:30, but now you have changed your time slot. let me put it to you, bridger, if thats really your name! that your idea was to actually be on tbs with your new show, but somehow you slipped in here with all our glamour! dude, you have to know that working for dave to working here is not a step up... well, we wont to make you welcome, so everyone who watching this show would like to welcome you. is this your first day?" craig asks. 'its my second week' bridger responds. 'i dont pay a lot of attention around here. but i ran into you today, didnt i? i said 'your new kid, arent you?' i asked if you wanted to be on tv and you said that you already have been on dave. bridger, imagine yourself in a 19th century private school in britain. i will be performing the role of school bully. you will play the cute young boy that everyone identifies with but they secretly like me because i'm the sexy one... its not going to be like that, dont worry. but i do warn you, occasionally we do musical numbers and the cutest member of staff has to dress up in the leather outfit. did they mention that in the interview?'follow bridger's twitter account here!
geoff peterson 2.0
craig ferguson's sidekick, the robot skeleton geoff peterson, recently got an upgrade from his creator grant imahara. the new and improved version 2.0 was introduced monday on 'the late late show with craig ferguson'. geoff's creator stopped by the show to talk about the changes that had been made: the robot skeleton can now move his mouth better, turn his head smoother, and has more movement in his right arm.craig also announced that geoff peterson would be making an appearance with imahara at the san diego comic con!
who is kelly moore?
as always, craig ferguson did his usual segment where he responds to tweets and emails during his show 'the late late show with craig ferguson'. friday night though, he had on a guest who has seemed to become a regular on his show: kelly moore. who is kelly moore? well, when he first appeared on the show, he was just an audience member. as craig sometimes does, he invited kelly to come up in front of the cameras for the opening bit. they chatted a bit, and while there kelly admitted that he was here with friends against his will. he said that he didnt even like this show and wanted to leave. well, that got craig going and he invited kelly up to join him with answering the twitter and emails! kelly, who seems to be absolutely fearless, went for it and talked with craig and cracked jokes. kellys attitude is honest and blunt, he doesnt bother with lying and telling craig what he might want to hear- which i think is exactly why craig liked him so much! kelly has since been back on the show helping with the twitters and emails twice. he was on the june 4th episode, and the june 25th one as well. if this keeps up geoff peterson might want to watch out, because kelly moore might become craig's next sidekick! (granted, he said he didnt want the job, but you just wait...)welcome to the scottish king website- the unofficial place for all things craig ferguson! syd the cussing rabbit
'i'm here to apologize', craig ferguson shares, 'apparently there has been a rabbit here the past few nights, a rabbit from north london, and he's been cussing. it has upset a great many people, and people have been writing in... well, theres one guy who's been writing in because the rabbit, hes not a robot, hes a puppet, but still people get upset because he cusses. and i'm like 'oh, give it a fucking rest', but people are like 'no, no, you must not have the rabbit cussing, that wrong. and there's too much cussing on this show'. and i'm like 'i know, there is.' so i'm here to apologize, i'm sorry about all the cussing on the show. and i would like to remind you that it is america, we do have other channels, and do you have fucking alternatives, so... although, cbs doesnt agree with me on that. so we have come to an understanding with cbs. they said knock it off with the cussing, and i've said 'you bet!'. so, thats it, no more cussing on this show. by me or rabbits... nope, cant fucking do it! i cant fucking do it!'
geoff peterson: robot skeleton sidekick!
it finally happened! after years of craig ferguson complaining about not having a band or a sidekick, he finally got one! for the past few months craig has been on twitter and has been calling his twitter followers his 'robot skeleton army'. at one point he was just talking during the show (which you can read about here) and he had a really great idea- what if he had a robot skeleton sidekick! he contacted grant imahara, the robot builder from mythbusters, and they struck a deal. if grant got a certain number of twitter followers, he would build craig a robot skeleton sidekick. well, wouldnt you know it, craig delivered! and for the past month or so grant has been busy at it building this guy! this past week we had our first introduction to him on the show and it will never be the same again. whether thats good or bad is up for discussion...
betty white
betty white is a frequent guest on 'the late late show with craig ferguson'. she, along with a handful of other regulars, stop by and do sketches with criag after the monologue. craig will say that he has a guest coming on to talk about the something in particular, whether its the head of the girl scouts, or a representative for an airline, or his mail deliverer. then out comes betty pretending to be that person. the skits usually go the same way: craig asks about what she does and it always devolves into some sexual topic, which is always funny to hear betty white talk about sex!craig himself talks about betty white as a regular on the show:
'betty white is the morgan freeman of comedy. you put her in a movie, it's automatically better! like when morgan freeman is in a movie you think 'well it's got to be good, morgan freeman is in it'. the same with betty white. if betty white is in a movie, it's going to be good! that's why we have her on this show all the time. cause, lets be honest, this is a crap show, but when shes on you go 'finally!' cause you know its going to be funny, and when she leaves, it's time to go to bed!'
tim meadows
on his show, craig ferguson has a group of actors who stop by regularly for different sketches and bits. he usually invites them on in the first half hour of the show before the guests. among these regulars is tim meadows.tim usually comes on as a reporter. he stands in front of a green screen and reports from where ever the story is that week. in his reports he usually talks about his own laziness in not wanting to report, or how the event he's covering really sucks. he and craig banter back and forth, which usually devolves into tim calling craig a racist. of craig's cast of regulars, tim meadows is most often the funniest.
henry winkler
on his show craig ferguson has a group of actors who stop by regularly for different sketches and bits. he usually invites them on in the first half hour of the show before the guests. among these regulars is henry winkler.henry will come on and talk about whatever he is suppossed to be a pro about that week. he has come on to promote (fake) books, give advice for winterizing you house, giving advice to presidential hopefulls, and anything else he wants to. usually playing on his positive image, he jokes with craig and usually gives terrible advice.
